At The British Open 2026, there isn't a strict dress code, but we do encourage attendees to dress in a manner that is suitable. While formal golf attire isn't mandatory, wearing clothes suitable for the course can enhance your overall comfort during the event.
While there isn't a formal dress code for public spaces, it's important to note that jeans and trainers are not allowed in the Hospitality areas. It's recommended to dress in smart casual or golf-appropriate attire, including smart shorts and denim. Footwear should be weather-appropriate and comfortable; you can opt for golf shoes with soft spikes or stylish trainers, which are permissible in all our facilities.
The Open has established a Park & Ride mechanism for attendees. As you near the event site, you will receive guidance through Variable Messaging Signs (VMS) and distinctive black and yellow AA event signs, leading you to designated parking areas. From these locations, a complimentary, exclusive shuttle service is available to transport you to and from the course.
