There is no specific dress code in public areas, so you should come wearing footwear and
clothing that is suitable for the weather on the day.
A lightweight waterproof jacket with a hood, or a hat or golf umbrella would be advisable if the weather forecasts rain.
You should wear clean and presentable clothing, such as tee shirts, jeans, shorts, etc. They should not be offensive in any way. Also, do not wear golf shoes.
The Open is played every five years at St Andrews
You cannot bring chairs or folding chairs into the Open. The only exception is seating/tripod sticks.
You are also not allowed professional cameras or video cameras for commercial purposes at The Opens.
You are also not allowed to bring dogs onto the course, unless it is a Guide Dog.
